This elegant three-stone ring features a trio of oval peridot stones, prong-set in polished 10 karat yellow gold. The faceted stones have a spring green color and are accented on both sides by petite white diamonds. A graceful open trellis design below adds a note of elegance and elevates the stones above the band so that light can filter through them, enhancing their sparkle. The polished yellow gold band has squared edges and a tapered thickness in back for comfort. August's birthstone is sometimes referred to as the "evening emerald" because of the way its light green color remains visible at night. Legend has it that this beautiful gemstone was a favorite of Cleopatra's. I got this ring to go with a pair of peridot earrings from the amazon collection and was very pleased. The diamonds are VERY small but the ring as a whole is really pretty. The pictures are not deceiving in anyway so you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

At the risk of sounding neurotic, I will share with you that I love the styling of this ring so much that, whenever they come on sale, I raid my retirement piggy-bank, and pounce on one! So far I have five, with one on the way! They are great everyday rings at the sale price. This ring can be worn alone or even combined with a simple band. In this particular ring, the peridot stones were clear, well-faceted, and a lovely shade of light green. The tiny accent diamonds at the sides did exactly what they were supposed to do - add sparkle! The 10K gold setting has ample weight and seems to hold the stones securely. Don't tell Amazon Jewelry, but I would have paid full price!
